MarcelP
Hi all, I am currently building an 1/72 F-100C. Now I come to the landing gears and see all kind of different things on photo's. So here comes the question. When parked, will the landing gearbay doors be open or closed? Kind regards Marcel
Jennings
Build what you see in the photo you like. If photos show them different ways, then clearly they could be seen in different ways. If you have a photo, you can't be wrong no matter how you do it.
nfiler
It was a North American Aviation product, and the gear doors operated in exactly the same way the Mustang gear bay doors operated. Up with hydraulic pressure on the system and down if unlocked manually or if the system pressure was leaking. Like the guy above me said, build it the way you want or just copy a photo. Either up or down or anywhere in between would be correct. Norm
