Recommended Posts

Hi guys, this's my first 2016 model I build for the Vietnam GB.

It depicted the F-100D of the 510th TFS,the Buzzards of Tuy Hoa,dubbed El Viejo Cazador.

The kit is the Trumpeter with some scratched details and the AM include:

-Aires cockpit, wheel bays and jet exhaust

-Renaissance Models correct air intake

-Quickboost wheels

-Master Model Pitot tube and IFR tip

- Eduard PE set

-Wolfpak' In Country decals sheet

-CAM SpecMil stencils

Napalm canisters and Disy cutters Mk-82s came from the Hasegawa set.

The model is painted with Gunze for the camo and Alclad for the metals.

For the interested here the WIP.

A great help came from the F-100 site ,Take a look.

A side note: I'm actually learn to use my new digital reflex camera,so sorry for the not exceptional pics!

Thanks for your kindness Adam, but one of the best things of the modelling is that don't exist a model identical to another, every ones is a different rendition of the same subjects resultant by the author's taste!

Thanks for your comment guys, nore than appreciated!

This build was a little dream for me,as I falling in love with the Hun as a child reading one of my dad's aviation encyclopedias about the 'Nam war,but I never find a model.

And then arrived Internet...

Very nice!

I enjoyed reading the WIP thread, especially the exhaust shades rendition. Probably the one thing that is keeping from doing a Hun, I have no confidence in mastering these airbrush techniques.

But with more and more tutorials/step by step like yours, I am getting tempted. Thanks for that! :)

Yessir, You did a great job on one of my favorite USAF "older" jets. The F-100C/D/F was a workhorse in the Vietnam War, and you made your "Hun" look like a workhorse. Again, great job, my friend.

Here is another superb work!

I went to look around the wip, I confess to you that I had not seen before (at this time I have little free time) but it was good because I saw all the work complete without waiting!
