pauly boy
Aircraft I thought I'd never build... Transport's. The last couple of years I've been into transport's. Caribou, Constellation, DC-6, Ford tri-motor. Junkers-86, Ant-22, etc. All will be built as military or "war situation" livery's. I say "will" as I haven't finished/started any yet. In time. Go figure! Paul
Alvis 3.1
Mustangs. I used to think it was boring, then got drawn into a group build at the local IPMS chapter, and wound up doing 6. I found it to be an interesting, attractive aircraft with an amazing number of schemes. Alvis 3.
Lancer512
French Mirages. Since last october, I even have "my own" office at a Dassault Aviation facility. LOL
chek
I've never had that much interest in the 'teen series' fighters, although I have dallied with 1/72 Tomcats and F-16s, and have 1/48 scale versions of F-15C and E and F-16CJs in the stash. But for no apparent reason I feel a 1/32 F/A-18C and E calling out to me. Although the pending F/A-18C in 1/48 from Kinetic and Revell 'E may reduce the size (and budget) footprint somewhat. Never had the slightest interest before. Weird. Edited February 19, 2016 by chek
TaiidanTomcat
Never expected to built one, but eventually did: Westland Wyvern The one that'll never make it into my stash: F-35 Because you will build it the second you get it? ;) X-35 will probably never happen for me Then again never say never
janman
Never say never applies in my case too. F-35 with Finnish roundels isn't too far from the reality.
worldslaziestbusker
The Dewoitine 501. I didn't so much swear I wouldn't build it, I just never paid any heed to French airframes much, or interwar designs at all. The Hi-Tech 1/48 kit showed up at the right price and with the right combination of materials. I needed some practice with resin and PE and a friend recommended I give the Dewoitine a go. I enjoyed the build and came out the far side very fond of this trim little bird.
dylan
Pretty much anything Russian, Su, MiG, Tu, Mil, etc. The current kits being released are simply too gorgeous to pass up! totally agree. I am pretty indifferent when it comes to most Russian/ Soviet aircraft, but here I sit looking at a partially built mig-31 and Su-33.
