nspreitler
Welcome to the Eastern Front GB. The rules are pretty simple. Build something that operated on the Eastern Front in WWII. Any model in any scale that falls into that category is acceptable, planes, tanks, trucks, figures, etc are all in play. I am including the Winter War and Continuation War between Finland and the Soviet Union so fell free to build your favorite Finnish subject too. Please start a topic once you begin your build. eraucubsfan
Not a history buff here, but would a BF-109G assigned to the III./JG 5 operating in Norway be acceptable?

I don't think Norway would count as Eastern Front, I am including Finland since they fought the USSR. However, if you have references for Norway based 109s flying missions against the Soviets they can be included.
eraucubsfan
I have the 1/32 RoG BF-109G6. One of the options for marking is for Franz Dörr was the Gruppenkommandeur of III./JG 5 who was operating out of Norway at the time. According to his Wikipedia page: "In October 1944, Dörr claimed 22 Russian aircraft shot down, including six on 9 October and five on 21 October". During World War II Franz Dörr was credited with 128 victories in over 437 combat missions. All but one of his victories were claimed over the Eastern Front, including 16 Il-2 Stormoviks". My link Not biggie if its not acceptable :D
