One of my favorites, the Hs-123. It seemed obsolete by the time the war started, but was in great demand. It served until 1944, so at the same time as Luftwaffe was introducing jet fighters it was still using a biplane as one of its most effective ground attack aircraft.

Probably not inspirational, but here is a 1/35 Tamiya T-34/76 that I built about a year or so ago for another group build:

It depicts a dusty T-34 roving through late summer grass on the Russian steppes.

I see your Edward Aleksandr Pokryshkin P-39N and I raise you a Hasegawa Grigori Rechkalov P-39Q (built for another Eastern Front GB many years ago). :D/>/>

It was also my first 1/48 P-39 and it was one of the most fun builds I have ever had.
