Tomcat Tweeker
Thanks All!!!! Thats some solid work you did on that Eagle, you got just the right amount of contrast on the two grey, are those both mr color? Yes, Mr Color C307 & C308 Lacquers... Dave
JackMan
Paints used: Mr Color, Vallejo Metal Colors & Tamiya Can I ask what Vallejo Metal Colors did you use for the shiny exhaust area as well as the darker area for the exhausts themselves? It looks perfect! Also, how did you apply them ( eg, what primer did you use? Black base coat? etc) Thanks in advance
warthoglvr
Very nice looking Eagle, Dave! Great work all around.
Fighting Eighty-Four
Wow, that is fantastic Dave! That exhaust area is truly a work of art, and the camo scheme looks spot on contrast-wise, just as someone mentioned earlier. Your buddy is gonna be so happy to receive this!!! Tomcat Tweeker
Can I ask what Vallejo Metal Colors did you use for the shiny exhaust area as well as the darker area for the exhausts themselves? It looks perfect! Also, how did you apply them ( eg, what primer did you use? Black base coat? etc) Thanks in advance :thumbsup:/> Sure.... Exhaust area was primed w/ Gloss Black over bare polished plastic... I used Mr Color Lacquer Gloss black I think, But any Lacquer based Gloss will do the trick except the Alclad Black... Run far and run fast away from that stuff..... Also if your not a fan of lacquers, Then Tamiya X-1 Gloss black works real well too.... I use both..... Just depends on what mood I'm in... The Metals themselves are Vallejo Metal colors.... Aluminum as base for the cowling and upper areas and post shaded with Steel/Jet exhaust mix.... Then a steel band just before the nozzles themselves.... The nozzles were primed with Gloss black as well and the base is Jet exhaust then dry brushed with Mr Metal Color aluminum..... And shaded some areas over all with Alclad Hot Metal Blue.... Hope this helps Dave
