Annetra (designed and tooled by AMK) 1/48 Mi-8MT CAD images

Wow some nice parts there and a sort of build up. Good news for us helicopter modellers. Nice to see that detail in the cockpit. I still remember the days when a lot of companies did not even include the collective in their kits.

I am looking forward to this kit. The only other one I had was one in 1/50th I believe from some Russian kit company. It came i multi coloured plastic and very rough. Went to helicopter heaven many many years ago.

Lots of nice schemes out there too and I can even build a Canadian one when we leased them in Afghanistan.

Not from the basic kit being designed here. You will need to wait for someone to do a modernized conversion as they did in 1/72 or be prepared to do a lot of work yourself.17982c955a97edd90cee59357d701d0d.jpg.5999c35ff085e404cb1913c4e438e693.jpg

I did it in 1/72 scale - using the HobbyBoss Mi-8MT ............

It's actually a Mi-8MTV5 - but the essentials are the same.

Full build (along with two others) is here.

Oh right, that nose is different. Ok I will wait to do this one but still like this release..

There are more differences than the nose........

Rear ramp in place of clamshell doors

New double width sliding door to port

New single width sliding door to stbd

Stbd fuel tank without heat exchanger

New heat exchanger above stbd door

Plus any other Canadian-specific changes (RWR antenna, cockpit layout etc)

My 1/72 scale build here ........ (scroll down to 'Mi-17MD')

Very interesting schemes. Some counties rarely seen in decal form. Only one scheme made the cut from the options shown on page 2. A Mi-8 boxing in the future maybe?

Not to surprising that the box art and painting instructions vary on the same scheme. While looking for pics some place mentioned it’s a 8t not 17.

They are saving them for a future Mi-8 release would be my guess. One can only hope.
