Paolo Maglio
this is the rarest of all Italian 104 variants, only 19 were built and served with 101°Gruppo for just one year winning the Lockheed Trophy for safety in 1965! at that time the camouflage was glossy, RESCUE stencils in yellow instead of orange and in English language only, no spyrale was paintent on the Pitot tube, bang seat was still the C-2 since there are no decals for these rare birds I made myself those for the white Diana, serial numbers (M.M.) and fuselage numbers, the rest of the markings come from 3 different Tauro decals sheets. Jinxter13
Seriously?....what is there to critique...you know these are ready for the "display case".......'nuff said. Edited March 27, 2016 by #1 Greywolf
Antoine
Well done. My prefered version of the Starfighter. They were in service for one year only? You mean with this unit?
Paolo Maglio
Thanks both! Yes Antoine, I mean with 101°Gruppo. There was no real use for RF-104G since the RF-84F had much better cameras so our RF served in bomber and interceptor Squadron for 5 years waititng for the Orpheous pod, then went back to their original role but with a much better recce equipment. Two of them actually served as prototypes for the S variant.
