The second build for this GB. I'll be building the little known prototype for the development of Saab J-35 Draken. Saab 210 was a 70% scale development testbed for Draken design. There were two configurations, the second more resembling the final Draken shape with intakes moved further back from the nose. I will, however, be building the initial configuration with nose mounted intakes, which looks a tad more wackier :D

The kit is Planet Models 1:72 resin kit with white metal landing gear and vac canopy

Resin kits can be tricky to build. Two part front fuselage/cockpit was inserted into the main fuselage part. Top side was pretty ok.

Problem was though, that the whole front area is too low in height - if you align the bottom part with the lower fuselage, the cockpit on the top will sit too low, which I couldn't afford. So there go putty and sanding paper and sticks marching in action!

Engine intakes were similar story - a bit too wide but again too low in height. I've again decided to align them with the top and fix the bottom parts.

Black primer as expected showed the flaws, but at least it's not as bad as it was in the beginning. Time for some additional blending!
