82Whitey51
Whaoaaa! Finally, the kit I've been waiting for! Can't wait to get my hands on one...or two!
Dave Williams
Hmm, anyone check today's date?
skyhawk174
Nice try there The Revell box for the P-3C in 1/72nd has a length of 49.2 cm and a wing span of 41.7 cm. If this was truly 1/48th the length should be about 73.8 cm and a wing span of 62.6 cm. I am so wishing this was true and then I could get rid of my 6 Hasegawa and Revell kits. I never say never anymore as I have been burnt so many times with the likes of Trumpeter and Hobby Boss around.
Drifterdon
WOW! That looks so ........ convincing. Good one. :cheers:/>

skyhawk174
Hmm ok you are right. However I think the B-17 was a real possibility compared to the P-3. I hope to see a 1/48 P-3 before I go to that hobby shop in the sky and I think the only company that might even think about doing it would be Trumpeter. We'll see :0 Hey it is not as if I have nothing else to build.
Scooby
Hmm, anyone check today's date? You aren't supposed to help people out, especially the first reply.

I think Kinetic, Trumpeter or Revell would be the likely candidates.

Slartibartfast
Don't give up hope. With the recent spate of large kits, I don't see this as pure imagination.
Don
Don't give up hope. With the recent spate of large kits, I don't see this as pure imagination. This ^^^. Honestly look at what's been done in 1/32 the last few years. Just a short while ago you would have been laughed off the internet for even suggesting them. Never say never. I'd be in for a 1/48 Orion .

Dave Williams
You aren't supposed to help people out, especially the first reply. Pretty sure I haven't violated any forum rule. I thought this forum was about helping people, not tricking them.
Slartibartfast
Tricks are the staple of April 1st. Save me a spot in that line. An acqaintance joined the the NAVY to fly Hornets without realizing his lack of degree from Annapolis guaranteed he wouldn't. He ended up in Orions at Whidbey.
jester292
That's funny. My boss has a degree from a state university. He flew Hornets. He must have lied to them to fly Hornets.
Slartibartfast
My friend didn't have a degree but the recruiters said he could fly Hornets, so he enlisted.
jester292
Oh, well that's not unheard of. Promising the stars to get a recruit to sign up, isn't that common? Hahaha
Dutch
Tigger released a 1/48 vacuform P-3C Orion. Here is a link to an actual build: http://www.network54.com/Forum/47751/message/1354320062/1-48+vacuform+P-3C+Orion+finally+finished!
