Uh-1 c 40mm M-5 sigthing device

Recommended Posts

Hello gentlemen, i'm looking for good pics of the 40 mm "thumper" grenade launcher aiming device of the UH-1 c heavy hog. I've read all the books I have (mainly squadron signal in action, special and walkaround) but I've only found the M-134 minigun sigths wich seems to be different.

Thanks a lot for help.

Here's the actual sight for the M5 that I took at ft. Rucker as well as two pics of one installed on a UH-1M at Redstone Arsenal. The Redstone pics show the sight in the stowed position. Th Redstone bird also has the sight for the M21 system installed in the deployed position so ignore that one. Hope these help.

Thanks a lot Rotorwash all the pics I need !

I did not know that both XM-21 and XM-5 could be instaled at the same time.

You are welcome, the combination of the two systems was called the XM51 and was only flown stateside.
