Drifterdon
I just picked up the Hobby Boss An-2 Colt in 1/48. It's the floatplane version but I want to build a VPAF plane from 1968 that was shot down by an Air America Huey. I have sourced landing gear from SAC but can't find replacement wheels. Does anyone know of any aftermarket for this kit? Also looks like I'll need to replace the prop as well.... Edited March 3, 2020 by Drifterdon
tobiK
Up to now not. I already asked Royal Resin about it, but he was not convinced that wheels are needed. Even you have the kit with wheels, they have such a balloon shape that they are bulged for sure when standing on the ground. I also hope for nice resin wheels for my kit one day.... dnl42
Agree, no wheels that I'm aware of. Beyond the metal LG you found, decals, QuickBoost resin, and Eduard PE and masks are available for the HB kits. Decals, Montex masks, Armory PE, and REXx "galvanically grown" exhaust pipes are available for Valom and/or Bilek. I've been eyeing the 1/48 AN-2 for a while, and I think I've stumbled on most of the AM for it. I finally ended up with the Valom AN-2T, decals, and Montex masks. DonSS3
Not military, but if the wheels looklike these, you should be in the ballpark.
Jumbomechanic
Equipage rubber wheels 1/48 An-2/An-3: If you can't find it, An-2 wheels are completely the same as Il-2 Shturmovik wheels, you just need to add two wheel caps on the outer side of the wheel. Equipage makes Il-2 wheels also, and someone else makes resin Il-2 wheels (Brassin or Aires). Sorry for my English...
Jumbomechanic
Actually, if you would like to build great and correct An-2 model buy this one: https://www.modelimex.com/1-48-antonov-an-2-6-decal-versions and discard Hobbyboss :-)

Is it superior to Hobbyboss? Edited May 1, 2016 by 11bee
Jennings
Hobby Boss's kit is fine except for the 2x4's that they used to represent the fabric on all the flying surfaces. The Bilek kit is spectacular.
