OH BOY! 727HP for $39,995

That's pretty incredible. I spent thousands on my '95 Mustang and never even came close to the performance that comes with the new stock GT's. I did sit in a '15 and while I think they're great cars my 6'5 frame said nope!

Ford has really hit a homerun with this Mustang. People love the design, options, power and its affordability. In April Ford sold almost as many Mustangs as the Camaro and Challenger combined (a feat its done 4 times in the last year). I think its been the top selling sports car in North America for nearly 20 months in a row or something like that. Sure is a sweet ride.

I've been sticking money into my 03 and I am nowhere near 700hp. You have an excellent engine for modding. 5.0 correct? I love the 4.6 but it takes serious $$ compared to the 5.0 to get any respectable HP. Cams and necessary valve Springs ran $1100. And it was chore to put them in and figure out a decent tune to make it all happen as it should. My car was down for a week wich relegated me to driving my escort. Sad.

Damit, why cant i live in the states!! In canada the same thing would be at leat 60k because somehow crossong out border makes all cars way more expensive for some odd reason.

Ill just have to live with my gti mk6 with 200hp and 200 torque although the stage 1 chip bumps it to 300+ for 500$

Yup, I had the five oh. The only problem was the money sunk into modding one part revealed another weak link. After that mess I quit modding base GT's and just bought whatever SVT made and enjoyed it. I briefly thought about a '13 Boss 302, but after sitting in a Challenger I don't think I'll ever own a mustang again.

Forget the imports, cars made in Canada and shipped to the U.S. cost less in the U.S. then they do in Canada ;). Now that would irritate me far more then the cost of an import car.

Do that and you'll be faster than the Mustangs. Especially if you've got the dsg trans.

I owned one with a DSG as a daily driver and no, not even a close, maybe a six cylinder moosetang. Still, buy the apr stage 1 especially now you don't have to worry about the ecu. It's a great mod.

Tell me about it. I've ordered a '16 5.0 GT here in the UK, and there's a 12 month waiting list - so I'm still nine months away from it arriving...

Lighter weight, better transmission, unless it was a highly modified mustang you should have taken it. Plus eventually at the end of every straight line you have to turn!

Even after the straight line the newer GT's are faster, I've owned both!

I would gladly challenge it in autocross. Why do people think mustangs can't turn? It baffles me. Maybe RWD is too much for some people.

Lol yeah this aint the 70s mustang do handle allot better. But ive diven both a 2012 GT and my 2012 GTI and the cornering is not even close, the gti has road glue.

But even with a stage 1 theres no ways in hell it will beat a 727hp mustang!

Oh and btw im 6gears for life. The only way im getting an automatic car is if i get my left foot cut off
