Drifterdon
I've never seen an injection kit of the L1649A but that certainly doesn't mean it was never done. Is anyone aware of such a beastie or at least an conversion to take the 1049 to the 1649? Thanks. Don
Cubs2jets
Don, I've never seen a 1/144 L1649A. EDIT Airliners America did a 1649 in 1/144. A looooooong time ago a guy in Germany (Fleigerhorst) was selling conversion kits for the 1/72 Heller L1049G to make a L1649A. 72linerlover
Hi Don, The Welshmodels website shows in the skyliner range an 1/144 L1649 See here1649 Regards Euge EDIT: Oh, sorry, you said "injection". Edited June 2, 2016 by 72linerlover
Rich in name only
Don't know of one. In searching the web you'll get better results if you search for "Starliner" instead of "Constellation" and L-1649 without the "A".
Drifterdon
Thanks for the help all. Forgot that it was called the Starliner. And I'm not afraid of using the Welsh Models kit with the Revell kit to get one done. I'll get with Mr. Densil Wade and see if they have any in stock. Don

The Starliner in 1/72 is one of my modeling secret dreams, but the conversion C2j mentioned is no more available and good drawings are impossible to find. So the dream will remain. Rich in name only
One key difference is that the wing/fuselage join is different---not just because of the fuselage and wing differences but a different relative position on the fuselage (farther back if I remember correctly). It can be a noticeable difference (like "looks great but something isn't quite right"). In using a Constellation kit that is something to include in planning so that it's not noticeable in the result and easiest to deal with in cut and mod.
