Najk
Hey guys, I'm aware of the Revell, Airfix and Matchbox Alpha Jets in 1/72nd scale, but which one of these is really the best one, i.e. most accurate for a French one? Has anyone heard of a new tool coming our way? That would have been really nice... 😉 TIA!
KursadA
There is no Revell AlphaJet per se - Revell has reboxed the Heller and Fujimi molds from time to time. There are basically 4 different 1/72 scale Alpha Jet molds: Airfix, Fujimi, Heller and Matchbox. The Matchbox mold is best forgotten. Fujimi is the most modern of all with recessed panel lines, but is said to suffer from several accuracy issues. I built the Heller mold a couple of times, and it looked nice to me. I do not know much about the Airfix mold, which is said to be fairly accurate.
STEN8
The Heller kit makes a nice little model and looks good on the shelf. With some aftermarket seats I think it would still hold up. Harry Lutz, FL
