Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Finally finished this one. Started with kitbashing the MPC Dodge Monaco Police Car with the AMT 1971 Dodge Charger since the MPC chassis, suspension and engine are almost worthless, my opinion. Added to that: -rebuild grille with fine mesh -resin cast headlights and bumpers, the latter heavily improved/modified -resin cast wheel hubs and caps -scratchbuilt CB antenna and side marker lights -completely rebuilt/redesigned lightbar. Started with an aftermarket on which sadly turned out to be only a slightly improved copy of the kit's. -Good ol' Flash patiently awaiting Rosco :) Build thread is here: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=290295&pid=2812572&st=0entry2812572 And, here she is: Edited July 7, 2017 by Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Don
Looks great ! Man I loved that show...still do as I watch the reruns. She definitely looks the part IMHO. Well done!
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Thank you! Here are 3 more; biggest mistake I think some car-builders make is always making the undersides look new and shiny. Fine if it's a showroom car. But this one needs a good dusting of Hazzard County dirt :) Edited July 7, 2017 by Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
SBARC
Priceless Andrew....your underside weathering is spot on.
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Thank you! Didn't want to put TOO much dirt on; I figure very few Hazzard County patrol cars actually "live" long enough to even get their first wash!

Bushpounder
Perfect!! Dust and red clay would be on the rockers. VERY nice work!! Adding Flash was a great idea, too!!! One almost has to detail the bottom of Duke models. Viewers usually saw the bottoms more than the tops of the cars!! Don
