Don
Every new update is trying to pull me away from the AMK kit. Must...resist.... Resistance is futile...LOL! You know you want it [insert evil henchmen laugh <here>]...LOL!
Alpagueur
What about a six-phoenixed Iranian 'cat?
spang
I'm getting some update sets ready for Steel Beach. It will include the ECM antennas for under the wing glove, a new boat tail with the ECM antenna, vinyl stiffener plates, and a clear TCS pod. I'm to the point where the clear resin is looking good for what I need. I'm also going to have a set of clear navigation lights. Other items will include a TARPS pod and hopefully a Bullwinkle pod if I can get it to cast well. I will attempt a backdate set with the early 7 grill gun vent as well as the original beaver tail. Hi Darren, Update possible to make a VF-2 or VF-1 Vietnam war ? SPang
stalal
Does it include the other lines of paints like Gunze etc. or just the usual X, XF & TS paint codes? If you are building US F-14A its Gunze H315 upper surfaces and H316 lower surfaces. However for lower surfaces combination of H51 Gull Gray and H311 is a better option as with age the bright white in real aircraft will be dull in shade. Hope this helps :)

gtypecanare
Hard to tell if this aircraft had rudder stiffeners? Would love to see a decal company put this out.
Falconxlvi
Hard to tell if this aircraft had rudder stiffeners? Would love to see a decal company put this out. Fightertown's 48705 sheet has a VF-1 bird that is pretty close to that. Check it out.
gtypecanare
Looks like Furball Aero Design has a very interesting sheet coming up. This is from their Face Book page.

Swordsman422
Oh, awesome! Pencil-nose VF-41 and early VF-142 and VF-143! And not CAG birds for once! I'll have to get a bunch of copies... and some more Tamiya F-14s. Edited August 16, 2016 by Swordsman422
Stefan buysse
Hi, Looks like another great sheet. All with the 7 grill gun gas vent. Will Tamiya ever do that part, gtypecanare? Or do we just have to hope that Darren succeeds in casting that? Cheers, Stefan.
tomthegrom
Both those 142 jest have nose art also. What a great sheet. That black aces jet is SHARP

jinmmydel
I was lukewarm on the kit because I wanted to build a D first, but Furball is making it interesting. I could dig doing the Tophatter scheme.
Stefan buysse
I'll MAKE it work! Hi, Thanks for the reply, George. Darren, Excellent, buddy. It is the one conversion piece I'm most looking forward to. Cheers, Stefan.
ravensfan6711
anyone happen to know the story behind the killmarks on the 103 dog please? They are A-4 and F-5 kills acquired during Top Gun training.
Bob Rock
All with the 7 grill gun gas vent. BuNo 160379, VF-41 Cat was Block 95 built machine and I'm pretty sure it should have two holed gun vent.

Stefan buysse
BuNo 160379, VF-41 Cat was Block 95 built machine and I'm pretty sure it should have two holed gun vent. Oops, yes. I only looked at the colour profiles and didn't check the BuNo's. Very likely that Geoff just used a template of early Tomcats to prepare the art and that these profiles are not be taken as instructions. Cheers, Stefan.
