mike_45
I picked up the new Tamiya M-10 at my LHS and got around to working on it finally. Kit looks outstanding, I have finished the hull and at this point it basically just falls together. I have stalled a little on it as I am working on another project but pretty impressed so far. Anyone else pick one up?
viper730
Got it the other day and will start working on it in a few weeks. I looked through the parts and it always amazes me how simple yet exquisitely detailed Tamiya makes kits. They can do with 2 or 3 parts what other used 10 parts for. Yet in the end they look no better than the Tamiya offering. and yes I am a Tamiya Fan Boy!!!!
mike_45
Yep, very detailed kit. The clear parts fpr the goggles are pretty slick also. I am going to do some work tonight on it. I am also working on the Academy M-36, well it is ready for paint. I also have an Italeri Priest on the bench, crazy to contrast that one to one of these newer kits. ChesshireCat
I picked the kit up about two weeks ago. Still trying to get a handle on the turret counter weights. Kind of looking at getting a second one to build a late M10. I might add here that if you like this kit, then take a good look at Tamiya's new SU76. It's a gem as well (I actually like it a little more). Both are great kits. gary

I need to do a little sanding on mine, need to fix a screwup I did and I will be ready for paint. I dont really build a lot of Russian armor, but I am glad that Tamiys is cranking out some nice kits. Wonder what else they are going to put out soon?

Wonder what else they are going to put out soon? I'm looking to see what the difference is between early and late M10's. I know the attachment points are not on the late hull, but seems like I read the counter weights are a little different. Like to see them do an M18 Hellcat. gary

Is the Academy M18 any good? I have that one on my wishlist also. I picked up an Academy M36 at the LHS and it has built up nicely, I would love to do all three TDs. I think that if I were you I'd hold out for somebody like Bronco to do one. I know the area over the engine is not right on either kit, and one has suspension problems. The M18 was built of the Sherman drivetrane, and would be a serious natural for Tasca. Still Dragon has finally started to turn out some good Shermans lately, so maybe they should do one. (I'd like a new M40 series) gary
