Hasegawa F-14 arrestor hook

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the arrestor hook on the Hase Tomcat is a bit too long. When I began researching my build, I think I read somewhere that it's 1/4" inch too long, but now I can't seem to find that info again.

It is too long. It should end just about even with the end of the fuel dump pipe, but it extends out about a centimeter too long. Easy enough to fix, just cut about a 1cm piece out of the rear half of it and re-attach.

I recall seeing someone's build that had a diagram comparison of several kit's version of the tail end and several AM exhaust parts that included new arrestor hooks to show how off they all are from the real thing.

I always thought the Hasegawa kit's hook was a bit thin as well.
