Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
My first Wild Weasel :) Started this (converted from a Trumpeter F-105G) before I embarked on my current craze of Vermont ANG birds. Resin cockpit made a huge improvement, along with a Master metal pitot and scratchbuilt wingtip lights. "Crown 7" was a Korat-based Weasel in the middle of the Vietnam fight; decals from an old Superscale sheet. Weapons loadout is the Weasel favorite of a couple CBU's with a Shrike. Takes out the radar with the Shrike, then goes in to destroy the rest of the site with the CBU's. Edited June 6, 2019 by Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy

ikar
Looks good. I've got to check the photos I shot at Korat to see if 424 was still there when I was, 444 was so I have a chance. "The Protestor's Protector" was one I was always fond of.
viking73
Nice build Andrew. I have this kit in the stash myself. What resin cockpit did you use and how well did it fit? I plan on building Georgia ANG F-105F 63-8299, "Peach 91" some day... -Derek
Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
Thanks Derek, it was the Pavla 'pit, and it fit just fine, no trouble at all! Ikar, I'm starting to think from the samples we've seen that you need to publish your historically significant Korat photos into a hardbound book!

Well, the gray is 36622, a color many folks use to better imitate the worn dark green....and I know very well about the tail of the F/G's, and I thought about trying to rebuild it. I finally decided, with all the problems I've been dealing with, that life was too short to worry about it. If you would like to produce some corrected taller tails, by heck, I'll buy them!!
