Gordon Shumway
Wonder Woman, OMG a young man's fancy, Linda Carter as Wonder Woman HUBBA HUBBA. Still tune in from time to time on MeTV.
midnightprowler
I never cared for her that much. I don't think she's all that pretty, and big boobs aren't everything. Now Linda Ronstadt back in that time frame, I had a poster of her in a halter tip and unbuttoned denim shorts.

Gordon Shumway
Stevie nicks.... that is all Um Yep! I been in love with  Stevie Nicks  since I was a teen and I saw the album cover to Belladonna. She is the Queen of Rock n Roll and her voice, her songs be they solo or with Fleetwood Mac and the sight of her in photos/videos even today still melts my heart. My fav album cover art of her is from the 1989 Other Side of the Mirror with her hair, makeup and long fluffy over the petticoat red dress in the photos . Saw Fleetwood Mac in Vancouver Apr 2015. Great Concert, they still have it

Gordon Shumway
T.V. Stuff. All In The Family, THE BEST SIT COM EVER! Some food for thought. Archie Bunker may have spoke with bigoted or racist words at times but never committed any racist/bigoted acts to hurt anyone. Archie Bunker worked on the loading dock, moonlighted as cabbie, was a traditional, decent working man and head of the house. He never tossed his feminist (ugh) daughter nor her socialist, liberal husband out on the street, even though Archie worked at a job he hated. Edith Bunker was a traditional woman, wife and mother but was by such more empowered, free thinking, compassionate than Gloria ever was as a feminist. Archie nor Edith EVER HIT EACH OTHER! Gloria the feminist hit Michael her hubby numerous times over the seasons. Archie and Edith never cheated on each other though both had episodes where temptation of such came to them and they both walked away from it. Michael and Gloria (liberated feminist and socialist liberal) in the last season when in California, Gloria cheated on Michael to the point of them looking at getting a divorce. Archie and Edith would never divorce each other. The love and bond that Archie and Edith had was as tough as a diamond where as the love and bond Gloria and Michael had was as strong as the paper of their marriage license. I've watch All in The Family a gazillion times over the years and on the surface it was written to look as if Archie and a lesser extent Edith were out of touch and squares. Gloria and Michael's characters were written as being mod, hip, more correct and with it. But when you dissect the episodes and stories you will see that Archie and Edith were more correct on life, love, relations, honesty, deceit, the races, the sexes, politics, and the economy than Gloria and Michael ever were. Food for thought.
falcon20driver
Me and the wife (both early 30s) love MEtv and the classics on it. We don't have cable because it's a waste of money and the shows are crap now. We love the comedy and messages in the shows like MASH, Happy Days, Andy Griffith, etc.. We wish more shows today mirrored the positive/truthful messages inot those classics.

Darren Roberts
Garry Burghoff and Phillip Michael Thomas were in one episode of Wonder Woman together. William G You are correct, sir! I was flipping channels and came across that episode. I had to laugh at how cheesy it was. Did you know that Gary Burghoff and Linda Carter were actually in a band together in the late 60's? That's one reason he was on the show. She wanted him to make an appearance.

Scott Smith
Funny thing is, Carrol O'Conner was the polar opposite of his character Archie. He was more like Meathead. I grew up watching All In The Family. As a kid, I had no idea what it was about. And of course I had to also watch the spinoff, The Jeffersons. How about Good Times? Another I was hooked on as a kid. I think my wit and sarcasm come from those sitcoms, along with Sanford and Son. Edited August 29, 2016 by Scott Smith

I think my wit and sarcasm come from those sitcoms, along with Sanford and Son. 1970's 1980's t.v. especially US based t.v. had lots of variety, unlike today where networks have thin choice and to much faux reality stuff. The epitome of sitcoms, dramas including police dramas, action, night time soaps, daytime soaps, day time game shows and sci-fi was the 1970's to 1980's In Canada we had some cool Canadiana programming in the 70's and 80's, The Beachcombers, Seeing Things, Nigh Heat, Live It Up, The Littlest Hobo, SCTV (the best skit based comedy ever) and more all uniquely Canadian. Children's programming included The Friendly Giant with Rusty the rooster and Gerome the Giraffe, I especially loved Gerome as a kid) and Mr. Dressup with Casey and Finnegan. Both great kids shows I along with my siblings watched back in the day. I loved 70's -80's cooking shows too. Galloping Gourmet, Wok With Yan, Julia Childe etc. all informative and fun. 1970s'-80's Sat morning cartoon and kids show were the best too. I need a time machine. :D
Kevan Vogler
Funny this subject should come up, I spent part of the past weekend binge watching the old Barney Miller series. After all these years, it still has relvance and is still considered one of the most realistic portrayals of police life ever put on TV.

If they took MeTV off my local cable network, I would be the first to drop cable because it is about the only channel I watch. Along with the shows you mentioned, I watch the following when ever I can: Gilligan's Island, Hogan's Heroes, Chips, Emergency, Beverly Hillbillies, and of course Star Trek. Best Regards, Ken Bailey (SonyKen) Emergency is my favorite! I've put a bug in Revell's ear to make a model of Squad 51. It would help even more if there seems to be an interest. Let me know if you'd like them to kit the squad and I'll pass it on. I tried for the engine, but they said large fire equipment like that doesn't sell very well. The Dodge is doable, though. SonyKen
Darren, That would be great!! Just let us know how other folks like me can put bugs into their ears. Ever since I got back into molding, I have toyed with the idea of doing a Squad 51 Dodge. But the price of the only resin conversion for the truck bed coupled with the fact that it is designed for the AMT kit pretty much put an end to me doing a Squad 51. Thanks! Best Regards, Ken Bailey (SonyKen)
falcon20driver
Hey Ken, we just use rabbit ears. With the new digital TV rules the picture is great and we can watch the few things we like as we really don't watch much TV. We get all the main channels, a couple PBS channels, multiple "classics" channels, and a few movie channels. And its FREE! Then we just use YouTube and movie rentals to supplement as we want. Steve N
When I was a kid, we would make our weekly trip to the "big town" to get groceries on Saturday. My brother and I would each be allowed to get a can of pop and a bag of chips, then after dinner we'd plop down in front of the TV with our treats watch "Hee Haw" and "Emergency."
