Mirage F.1CG by Special Hobby in 1/72

Recommended Posts

My current project is the superb kit of the F.1 Mirage by Special Hobby in 1/72.

I hope you guys don´t mind that I will do a "What If"-bird in this case, as I need some rest before I will tackle a project that will very likely be ugly (Mach2 Learjet...).

This is the kit as it looks today:

I like the fact that the kit includes many different options, having alone 4 ejector seats (ok, 2 different pairs)...

I've seen people achieve incredible results from this kit. Check out Mike Grant's excellent work on the 72nd Aircraft forum site, for example.

It looks like a fun kit, do enjoy.

Evidently, this is a popular kit on that forum!

But here are few, all from the last few weeks.

I would encourage you (and any other 1/72 builders) to join us over there. Its a great little corner of the internet. Lots of talent, and very friendly and helpful people from all over the globe.

Thank you, but how am I supposed to do any modelling if I´m browsing forums all the time...? ;) Nice pictures, though, thanks for the links!

Back to my Mirage: It´s a tailsitter!

I somehow sensed it (nothing mentioned in the instructions), that´s why I´ve left off the nose. So I put some lead into that and attached it to the fuselage:

Perfect!

Just some details and it´s ready for painting!
