SBARC
The code that was causing this warning has been neutralized. It seems that is not good enough for the warning to be removed. It seems the dead code needs to be removed. Of course...with this being a php driven discussion forum.....I have no clue how to do that.....so I will need to look into this further. I have been assured by the makers of this discussion program "Invision" that the phishing code is now unable to work.
dnl42
Dead code? I would have expected an updated forum to not have any trace of that offensive code. I would also expect that Google will need some time to recognize that the bad code is no longer present. I just checked my cookies, and url4short.info is no longer present. That's a good thing. You may see if you can contact them to tell them about the update and ask for an re-evaluation.
egmccann
For what it's worth, I got a redirect page from them - there IS a link on the "Deceptive site" warning I got where you can report it as good. And I did so.
SBARC
Thanks guys....I am getting conflicting info on this from google's help pages. I plan to dig deeper and get the warning removed....it's just a question of time. I do think Google should have addressed this on their end. It seems only their search engine had the redirect issue. For a company that is so much against being connected to porn.....it's off that their seartch engine could be tricked to redirect people to porn sites. As for the dead code still existing. I asked the Invision forum tech guy if the upgrade would remove the redirect virus code....he said it should...and if there is any code not removed...that code will not be able to operate. Lancer512
Steve, you have to request a review from Google to get your site unflagged.
jfmajor60
Using Firefox, getting no warning at all.

thegoodsgt
May I suggest that every time each of us gets this warning that we report it to Google? Click the Details link. Click the "report a detection problem" link. Fill out and submit the subsequent form.
RKic
Odd. The red page stopped appearing for a bit, but it has come back now.

I get the red page the first time go to ARC after booting up. After that I don't get it until I re-boot again. I'm using Firefox. I've seen comments about getting the warning when going through Google but I have been using the 'forums' button on the homepage. From there I get the deceptive site warning and the option to ignore and 'report a detection problem' to Google.

Firefox red page appears just the first time in every session, once you skip that it will not reappear until the next Firefox restart or system re-boot.

galileo1
Still getting the red warning page as well. I'm using Chrome. Edited October 11, 2016 by galileo1
jeffryfontaine
I get the red page on FireFox when booting up but after I ignore the warning and close the banner it does not appear again until I restart the computer. I use Chrome on my tablet and phone and so far there has been no red page warning.

That's still not a fix. It isn't a problem at home, but I used to love checking ARC during work breaks, or from my phone when I was out and about, but my work server won't let me past the barrier, nor will some public networks. Other invasionboard fora don't have this issue, so your tech support people didn't do their job when they did all of the cosmetic upgrades. If you're paying them for their service, they should be fixing it. Edited October 11, 2016 by RKic
RKic
Then forgive me for misspeaking. I was under the impression that invasionboard was responsible for fixing forum issues. And believe me, I know real life stuff takes precedence over forum bs.

Invision has never offered much in the way of support and after this upgrade....I'm completely on my own.....all future upgrades are my own problem. They made it perfectly clear during this upgrade. I need to delete the old forum from the old server...that might be part of the issue....I really don't know.
HistnScale
Steve, it takes me two clicks to get past the google warning using Firefox. Just two clicks. That's something I can live with for a really long time or forever if need be. Your hard work is appreciated as is the great site you provide for us. Do what you have to do, Sir and good luck with all of it. Dave

I wonder how many newbies tried to go to the forum and got scared off by the Big Red Scary Screen? Not the optimum situation if you wish to grow the forum membership. Not meant as a slag, Steve has given this 110%. Just hoping that this last nagging issue finally gets put to rest.
