Fubuki4
Dad bought me this kit way back in high school, so thought I should break it out. While the forum was down, I started. I haven't decided upon colour schemes yet. The interiors are a bit basic, but otherwise no real problems have been encountered so far. So that's where I am at the moment. More to follow. RKic
What a nice pair. They go together quickly. A gift from HS, you say? How long ago was that?

RKic
Haha. Yes, it is time then
Fubuki4
I cut out gear doors and glued the tail wheel doors onto the kits, then a little interior colour added. I also painted the bombs while I was at it.
RKic
Neat! Keep it coming!
murad
those are lovely paint schemes, looking forward.
Fubuki4
Ok, engines on and painted and I decided to throw a little interior green on the cockpits. There isn't much in the way of detail here and with closed canopies you won't see much when completed anyway.
Fubuki4
Canopies are on and the under surfaces painted. I also shot some interior green on the canopies too to simulate the interior of the frames. I've decided on a Brazilian Bubbletop and maybe a checker tail Razorback. Fubuki4
A little blutak, Tamiya tape and Gunze olive drab and I have the top surfaces painted.
Grandboof
Nice work The OD / Grey demarcation looks good . Looking forward to the final Martin H
Fubuki4
Main gear together and glued on. I'm still painting the tail wheels but they should be good to go tomorrow.
Fubuki4
More paint, some yellow and some masking. After removing the masks, they came out ok. A tiny speck of yellow overspray on the razorback, I don't think I've ever masked anything that hasn't required at least a dob of touch up paint.
Fubuki4
Bombs, tail wheels and props are on. I also did some painting; the guns and formation lights and a good coat of Humbrol gloss.
Fubuki4
Decals are now on and dry. I only have a couple of wrinkles in the checker tail, so I'm pleased with that, although the added decals to the set, which the checkered cowl flaps were on, were not as good as the original kit decals and you can see the difference. Although, not bad I spose for 25 year old decals. The set I used for the Brazilian aircraft were pretty good too.
