Well, since I already am devoid of any social life :crying:, I guess I will just have to aspire to become a Hopeless Recluse.

Post counts I kinda got over long ago.  But did we lose our membership number?  I liked my three digit identity.

It does appear the member #'s were lost.  I guess is was considered fluff that wasn't important.

oddly enough the member numbers are in the system still.....if you go to your profile and look at the URL for that page....you can see your members # 968 in the URL

I'll poke around the limited control panel and see if I can find this feature.

I noticed you changed your member title to hide the truth.

:rofl:Shrouding the Dark Side indeed; just call me Palpatine!

Jeez, I remember I first changed it back 11 years ago when the Canadian members here surprised me by honoring me with the title "HonoUrary Hoser" when I was asking questions about Canadian culture in order to get all the scratchbuilt trash correct in the Possum Van! It's a badge I wear with pride and honoUr! :)

Ya mean, "Quando omni flunkis moritaty/When all else fails play dead"?

Speaking of which, I need to send you a couple photos to update the Possum Van article; 8 yrs ago it placed 3rd at Nationals, but even better than that, a few weeks ago Red Green/Steve Smith was here in Arizona and he signed the roof of it :woo:

Steve, thank you very much for all your work. The look and feel of the new design is much better. Since this topic came up, I was wondering if I am the only one who'd prefer a much more minimalist members info. I would in fact prefer that the little airplanes and the descriptions above them be removed. The number of posts reveals the person's tenure and activity (ok, maybe the join date could be added), which is usually all that is needed. Is this something that can be entertained?

If not, is there a way for each member to turn on/off this info from the account settings (couldn't find a way to do that)?

It's not a big deal if things remain the way they are, it's just that it's been something that has been on my mind and so I thought I could bring this up in this thread.

Thanks.

Send me the photos and I'll add them to the article.
