phantom
Starting up a Special Hobby 1/48 Fairy Firefly. The RCN used them very briefly as a carrier based attack plane in the late 40s to early 50s. Untill replaced by surplus USN Avengers. (Which I might build next). This kit is also being built for someone else so I won't be keeping it around in my basement for long.

mlicari
Nice job on the interior! Quote Lots and lots of very tiny cockpit parts Seems to be a hallmark of Special Hobby. The 1/72 Buccaneer I'm doing has almost 60 interior parts, not including the 6 or so that make up the rear gun. Mike
phantom
Almost in one piece....
RKic
I wasn't expecting you to power through a short-run kit as rapidly as you have. Cockpits look good. Any comments regarding the build. I noticed you have attached the landing gear legs, before painting. Something you normally do, or did the kit engineering require it?
Grandboof
Looks wonderful . Martin H
phantom
Thanks, for the landing gear I tend to follow the instructions more or less to the letter. Sometimes I need a little touch up that s all. As for powering through. After church had nothing to do. No Blue Jays or Maple Leafs today, did all the chores yesterday. Boss and I had a hour long walk in the afternoon. Apart from that sit in the basement watching DVDs and build.
phantom
Been having lots of computer issues , can't find two photos so I guess here are the finished ones.....
Grandboof
Awesome What did you use for the light grey. I read somewhere that the RCN light grey was a little different Martin H
phantom
I used British medium grey with a little white. The dark is dark sea grey with a little 36118 to darken it a tad. Seems like I forgot the port and starboard lights. That will be added.
