can I suggest to print and sell (at the half price) only the "new" pages for the owners of the original copy?

or at least a bit reduced price for the whole volume (always for the original owners)

-1.000.000 ...

why? i buy all the original books and i like to keep mine in mint condition.. if i'm gonna use it for reference, i don't want to flatten it out and have a clumsy book laying around.

i would prefer to have it on an ipad or up on a big screen so i can swipe or manipulate it to zoom etc.

Ha ha, the man has a business to run, not an enthusiasts site! In his own words, it will add a few more pages to older F-14A cockpit pics and will have some definition sorting out of other pics.

Make hay while the sun shines, seel your used copy at a massive profit (while the masses don't realise there will be a 2nd edition) and buy the 2nd edition. Simple.

I refer you to my previous post. Danny has a business to run, not an enthusiasts charity! Buy a 2nd edition and use that.

I already got my order in for the 2nd ed F-14; also got the F-4 book since I was a'shoppin...

I have Kindle versions of C&M F9F and F-14. It's really nice to have both print and electronic versions of reference books.

I would most definitely buy Kindle version(s) of your books in addition to the print versions I already have, and will soon receive more.

Well, at least for one reason, reference earlier in this thread.  A PDF is easily distributed to those who don't own the book, or require very complicated electronic protection.

I have the first edition...and will happly buy the second edition as well! :-)

Yup! exactly the same goes for me. Will hold the first one near and dear and the second one already ordered. And I'm a fan of old style hardcopy books.

I already have the orginal version... could it be worth to purchase the 2nd version too?

I was wondering the same thing.  I have an old Detail & Scale from the '80s with decent cockpit shots, so I don't really need it.  The D&S was published shortly after the Libyan engagement and my main interest in that book was the original color of the cockpit, which seems lighter than pictures in the Daco book (which I think were taken after Y2K and repaints).  The Daco book has a staggering number of pictures and is very well done (airplane porn).  I have a hard time believing he could improve it!

  • 2 weeks later...

I briefly thought about acquiring the new release but at 34.75 Euro's plus shipping and insurance, I just can't pull the trigger.  If there's a US source in the future, I may reconsider
