Andrew D. the Jolly Rogers guy
The static dischargers on the wings and tail of the 1/72 Revell F-16 are a nice touch, but obviously slightly larger than scale...has anyone else been tempted to just cut them off? Procopius
I certainly have, since I'll knock them off anyway in the course of the build.
Najk
I always cut them off and replace with stretched sprue.
kurnass77
I cut off and replaced 'em with thin fishing monofilament, between 0,07 and 0,10 if I'm correct.I used it for any static discharger in 1/72. One of the reason of my choice, apart the thin look,is that when glued it can't broke but bend and you can restore the shape very simply! Here how look in my F-16. Lancer512
Like Kurnass77, but I'm using toothbrush bristles as a replacement. They are flexible and don't break off when handling the model once it's finished.
