Shenyang J-8 ?

Recommended Posts

I'm talking about the J-8, not about the J-8II here. I believe that no kit of this type exists even in resin. Perhaps a short-run producer like Modelsvit could think about it. Do you think there could be a market ?

There's another one at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics Museum (photographed in 2013)....

Maybe Modelsvit - in 1/72 scale - after their MiG 150/152 series ??

nice photos Ken:thumbsup: it's weird how in the first photo it looks like a very wide body sort of mig-21... and in the two others, fuselage  looks more like if it was borrowed from an early  Su-17.

That's a MiG-21 (Chengdu J-7) next to it in the first photo......

During a return visit in 2013, it was outside whilst the museum gets a refurbish... (note the swivelling pitot)

Compare the size with the tiny J-7....

I would love to see a 48th  scale model of the J-8.
