Here's Tamiya's lovely F-16C, with parts from the Thunderbirds kit to turn it from block 52 to block 30. I have always loved the blue "Flanker" camo, so will be using TwoBobs' Blue Fox Bandits 32-051 sheet along with an ALQ-188 pod from Aires.

Paints are Model Master enamels: FS36270 Neutral Gray lightened a bit, Flanker Medium Blue #2131, and FS35109 Blue. The drop tank on the table is a paint and decal test - I know the real planes carry standard-color tanks and pylons.

Still need to make a CATM-9 Sidewinder practice round and an ACMI pod. The kit includes blanking plates for the outer underwing stations, so I have those plugged and left the innermost holes, just in case I ever want to have it carrying tanks.

Here's the instrument panel. I punched individual instruments from an Airscale sheet. The center top unit needs some help with its buttons; I'm not sure how to fix that. I'm debating whether to put in some round gauges on the right. They are pretty much invisible when the panel is installed.

So so much for the in-progress shots. This thing is about 99% done and I love it, but am ready for a different challenge. Practically every decal is TwoBobs, from the squadron markings to the CATM-9 on the wingtip. The CATM-9 was converted from an Academy AIM-9M.
