phantom
All 3 "uber-mods" have approved. Just waiting for Neo to assign the start date.
Winnie
I'm quite exited for this to start! hope it happens quickly! Just as a curio, who signed on as #3?
falcon20driver
He means the 3 moderators that approve group builds. It takes those 3 guys to vote yes to approve a build. It's just yourself and I moderating this specific build. Glad we got the go ahead.
Winnie
Ahh. I I got a big head... I thought he meant WE were uber-moderators... Well We'll be... in our own minds, like pilots always are... lol
falcon20driver
We officially have a start date! January 1st gents. 1 month to get your stuff together. I just have to decide which scheme my Sea King will wear.
hawg53
This is great. But you guys can't laugh at my efforts! Edited December 1, 2016 by hawg53
falcon20driver
Absolutely not. Like I said, this is my first helicopter so I'm learning as I go.
Winnie
Nothing to it lads, and don't worry, I'm participating so you have less skilled modelers to worry about!
Ichitoe
I'll be in on this GB. I have an AH-1 I've been wanting to build. And I confess, I'm one of those who starts a build but doesn't seem to finish. I'll see if I can break that habit with this GB. Mike
scotthldr
Start date is a bit too soon for me but I'll try and partake, only problem I have is the lack of decals for my chosen subject.
Flyboyf18
Eggcellent, said he tenting his fingers..... Don't know which kit to build so gonna try shotgun approach, although leaning towards a Canadian 'Nook from the 'Stan, the ones we bought/borrowed from the US. Also have a bunch of the fabulous SH Cobra kits so will throw a few of these into the mix. Time to start the search for detail bits!!
Bravosierra001
If there will be any prizes I will donate to the prize pool. Brandon
falcon20driver
Winnie, what say you? Prizes perhaps?

falcon20driver
54 yes votes is great. I think we're going to have a good build and I greatly anticipate seeing all the completed helicopters.
hawg53
I have never done a group build before. What is the time limit? I know we start on Jan 1st, but when does it end?
falcon20driver
It's a 6 month window.
Bravosierra001
YEA!!! I am getting ready!! Already have purged the stash of all helo's and will be doing at least one from my favorite helo unit of the Vietnam War. HAL-3 Seawolves. Thought I would pass a little bit of motivation your way. One of the most awesome Vietnam helo videos I have ever seen!!! They really ring those helos out at the 5 min mark! Great reference material in there as well. falcon20driver
Great video Brandon.
TaiidanTomcat
I hate to be "that guy" but are What ifs allowed? I have wanted to do a V-22 in this scheme: I would have already but I got caught up with a baby when my local What If forum was doing their rotor build.
falcon20driver
Unfortunately Winnie and I decided V-22s don't count. I think what if markings are ok, but V-22s depart from the traditional helicopter too much for this build.
AirMedical
I'm in. Need an excuse to finish a build. Have lots on the bench................incomplete.
nspreitler
Good timing, I have a 1/35 OH-58 build I am doing for a friend. It should be ready to start after the 1st of the year since I am waiting for him to buy some aftermarket stuff for it.
falcon20driver
Getting close! I hope everyone is getting ready to pull the collective and get going. I get to open my Sea King kit on Christmas (or our Christmas since I have to work the real one). Excited to see it and get going on it.
