Nice pics as always.   From a modeling standpoint, note that the USN has recently modified their Super Hornets to carry AIM-9X's on the outer pylons, for a total of 4 Sidewinders now being carried.

Blue Angel 6 161521, Homecoming Weekend Annapolis.

When I was on the East Coast working in what my uncle referred to as a spook House, I would make my way to Andrews on Saturday mornings, and drive over to the Navy Side, known as NAS Washington for the 9 AM ramp walk. There were a number of shooters there, Dave Brown and Barry Roop would sometimes drive down from PA. And all the locals to the DC area.

Most weekends there were a couple of birds on the ramp, but in October on Homecoming Weekend at Annapolis, the ramp was always filled to capacity. mostly Tactical, some Trainers, and in 1987, Blue Angles 6.

The first time I saw the Blues fly they were flying F-11 Tigers in Milwaukee Wisconsin. They have always been the best flight demonstration team around.

The best view of the blues was from the deck of my uncle's cabin cruiser on the Severn River, when the Blues saluted the Annapolis grads.
