Zactoman
Edit per my post below: This was just an early 3D rendering that has been completely redone. I'm not deleting these 2 pics but you can pretty much disregard them and look at the updated ones. Edited February 20, 2017 by Zactoman Moved pic and explained why the pics are bad. 11bee
Long overdue. I know it's a bit early in the process but might want to take a look at the lower nose. Looks just a wee bit too angular.

jefropas
I've been waiting forever! I melted my Testors Broncos into plastic ingets years ago. So long overdue, thanks for the info! Jeff

The whole thing has been completely re-worked and I'm just waiting for the boss to send me some updated pics I can post. Aviation Art original project revival? http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/268873-148-su-33-sea-flanker/&do=findComment&comment=2547213 Considering Kinetic has taken over the original Aviation Art 1/48th Su-33 "Flanker-D" project, we can believe it could also be the case for this future 1/48th OV-10 Bronco kit. Other candidates IMO are Great Wall Hobby (GWH) or Kitty Hawk. To be followed. ;-) V.P. Our kit. Our company. (Our team was involved in developing the Su-33) Our name... Must not be named... madmanrick
Any idea on a time frame for release, in others words are we talking 2017 or beyond....? Either way, I will be in for an A model or two. I would also be in for at least two D's, if you get that far!
Hans
finally!!!!!!!! wooohoooo!!! just a quick note... I've observed that the cargo bay door cone shape has not really been made correctly by any manufacturer to date... it resembles more of the shape on the clear plexiglass unit of the OV-10B... the original solid unit's shape differs slightly (it is pointier), but noticeably... here's a photo I'll be watching this with interest... I'd also like to see how you guys will do the cockpit... the 1/32 KH kit, while it is the most detailed so far, suffers from inaccuracy issues, in particular with the ejection seat construction, cockpit floor depth and the wrong depiction of the front ejection seat backplate (the front backplate should be mated to the pilot/observer divider, and not separate, and the rear seat should not have a backplate at all, only the rear divider plate that separates the cockpit from the cargo bay...) I'll be happy to assist with the details concerned, I have the flight manual of the airplane with me with very useful diagrams... P.S. I hope the 230 gal. drop tank will be included... this has been a standard centerline station load for this airplane, and so far, no kit (except the Academy OV-10D which suffers from a wrong shape) has provided one at all... On a related note, Santa Rosa, CA had a street art exhibit a few years back utilizing "Peanuts" characters. Still on display is this one outside of a (really good) breakfast establishment. ikar
One day at Korat there was a line up of different aircraft taking turns on the runway. The 105s had just left and the F-4s were starting to go two at a time. Behind them were a couple OV-10s followed by a Connie. All of a sudden there was a roar from the OV-10 as a seat left and went into the sky, coming down directly in front of the Connie's wing, no injuries except for a couple bruises and scrapes. This turned out to be an incentive flight so the rider wasn't too up on cockpit operations and safety. He landed safe enough and everyone was amazed that the seat worked as advertised. More than one comment like Damn, zero-zero really does work. I'm sure he had several appointments with various commanders around the base after that, especially since they were still getting over a fatal seat firing in a hanger. madmanrick
When I was in the AF, I won airman of the quarter for the Wing. One of the perks that came with it, was an orientation ride in an T-38. But, before I was allowed anywhere near that cockpit I was required to get a complete ejection seat orientation, along with being fitted for a g-suit and all. The pilot that took me up, told me not to place my hands anywhere near those handles, for ANY reason unless he directed me to. He also told me that if I chucked, I was cleaning the back seat. But, man was that a helluva flight. I didn't chuck, but I came close. The only thing better was being in a Buff at low altitude (below 500 feet) on La Junta, that was pretty hairy. Since the jump seat wasn't an ejection seat, we didn't have the same worries as we did in the Talon.
