AIM-9L/M

I have the Eduard 1:48 AIM-9L/M resin missiles and am wondering what the difference is. I assumed it would be a physical difference. I can't find a good reference online. Can someone enlighten me?

I know they have different arming keys; in the L the arming key is turned and removed while the arming key of the M stays with the missile. So when not modelled in flight no real external differences I believe.

I think 9M have large fuze window, as pic show above.

The M has improved electronic-countermeasures and a low smoke motor but little external differences other than fuse windows as stated.

Great info. Which one is modeled in the "AIM-9L/M" Brassin set by Eduard?

From the research I did the AIM-9L only had the small fuze windows on early models and prototypes. They were equipped with the larger windows for production models.
