adamitri
Last reported by her brother she is in stable condition. Being that I am an EMT-Paramedic, I cannot stress the importance of CPR. Chest compressions to the beat of "Staying Alive" or Darth Vaders " Imperial March." Kinda ironic either way.

Everyone should know CPR. Do you know who SHOULD learn CPR? Women....specifically older women.....chances are they will be the first responders later in life for their husband when he has his first heart attack. Of course older men should learn it as well. Flyboyf18
CPR = Canadian Pacific Railway Kidding - did my First Aid re-re-re-re-cert (could be more lost track of the number of times in the military) last year got high 90s. So the guys in our club are safe!?!?

Wifes should also learn how to open bathroom doors, as most people who suffer a heart attack at home do so in a bathroom.

Scooby
A lot of medical simulation rooms are now being designed as bathrooms as that is the #1 scenario for emergency services responding to house medical emergencies now. a lot of cardiac patients feel sick to start and head to the bathroom. Sadly a lot of family members don't know how to open locked bathroom doors to start the critical early CPR.

Lancer512
Besides locked doors, every bathroom door opens into the bathroom. If an unconscious person is leaning angainst the door, or falls in front of it, you'ld first have to push the person away in order to get into the bathroom. That is about as serious as locked doors. Jonathan_Lotton
More than likely she was declared braindead on the 23rd or 24th and they waited until after Christmas to take her off life support. Very sad.
