Mid Sea base - 1st attempt

Recommended Posts

Looking really good! Is that silicon? I used it on one of my first water dioramas and in the meanwhile it turned brown and shrinked so much that it doesn't look like water anymore.

I now use clear acrylic gel, which is easy to use and dries cristal clear (and hard!).

Get yourself some of these items, I used these to make my first ocean display for my 1/18th scale Tomcat display. I had never worked with this stuff before and I am no expert at it but, it was fairly simple to do. I had some help and learned a lot while we did this. I think it turned out really well.

It took about 24 - 36 hours for the gel to dry and turn crystal clear. Just remember, the thicker you make it the longer it will take to dry. Good luck.
