Fighting Eighty-Four
Hi everyone! So 2016 is now in our rear view mirror, so I though I would take a moment to share my production over the last 365 days. This was my first full year of building, with my actual first successful build starting in August of 2015. I built a total of 13 models this year, but a couple of video game releases this year took much of my model building time from me LOL. Overall I am very pleased with my output, and am most pleased with my growth and improvement in my skills. I can see a huge difference in the quality of my old builds of the year and the latest ones. I learned a lot of techniques, made a lot of model building friends, and generally had a ton of fun along the way. I hope you enjoy my journey back through 2016! 1 - Model build #5 - 1/48 Hasegawa F-4C Phantom II (completed February 11th) 2 - Model build #6 - 1/48 Revell F/A-18F Super Hornet (completed March 13th) 3 - Model build #7 - 1/48 Monogram AV-8B Harrier II (completed April 4th) 4 - Model build #8 - 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C Fighting Falcon (completed April 27th) 5 - Model build #9 - 1/48 Italeri AH-1W Super Cobra (completed May 18th) 6 - Model build #10 - 1/48 Monogram OA-4M Skyhawk (completed June 5th) 7 - Model build #11 - 1/48 Italeri F-14A Tomcat (completed July 16th)

Tom G
I've seen them too. He's won or placed at a lot of our club model contests with them. Great work, Michael! Can't wait to see what you crank out next. Tom
CaptainObvious
Fantastic work! My favourites are the Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat, Hobby Boss F3H-2M Demon, Revell F-15E Strike Eagle and the AMK IAI Kfir C7. I'm thoroughly impressed with your speed. I probably finish 2 kits a year with no where near the quality. Awesome awesome stuff.

Maybe a meeting or two this year? You gotta at least come to the CMS! 10 hours ago, CaptainObvious said: Fantastic work! The Hasegawa Tomcat is actually still my favorite model of all of the ones I have built so far. Mostly because of the struggle I had with that kit, the subject, and how well the weathering turned out. Really surprised myself. The Revell F-15E would probably be my #2 favorite. f5guy
Holy cow! You built 13 48th scale kits in 12 months, and all nicely done too? I'm lucky if I can get 6 or 7 72nd scale kits done in a year! I like your stands too..... very nice! Its interesting to see the aircraft depicted doing what they're supposed to be doing...... flying! Good job ;0) Fred K.

RKic
Very nice builds. You are very prolific, and the quality doesn't suffer at the expense of quantity. Each of these is great, but that harrier is absolutely my favorite of the bunch!
Tom G
Congratulations, Michael! His Kfir won the latest club Quarterly contest on Sunday. It's a beauty! Tom

I entered that into my IPMS club's USMC quarterly theme contest and get a 3nd place with the harrier. It was my first award for any model I have built so far! I was kinda surprised to see my Kfir win this month's contest, I was thinking the 1/72 BF109 would win.
