phantom
Another one being built for someone else. This is a CH-146 Griffon using the Italeri Huey and Belcher Bits resin conversion kit. At some point in the future the customer hopes to get me the Canmilair decals required to finish this kit in search and rescue colours. So I think this one might be built and painted for a couple weeks (hopefully not months) before the decals get here. The unbuilt. The first mod, second mod
phantom
The Belcher Bits seats are far more detailed then the kit seat. Basic assembly
phantom
The big piece of resin in place. Time to get supper going and give the thing time to dry. More work (hopefully) tomorrow after church.

phantom
Main build done. Have to put on the hoist and stabilizers. Finish the rotors.
phantom
Took the tape off, as I do not have the decals yet I used my old build as a guide for painting.
falcon20driver
Another great painting scheme.
phantom
Thanks, have to lower the nose black, finish the rotors and gloss. Then it waits for the decals to arrive.
phantom
Looks like this is as far as I can go until Canmilair comes back on line. Hopefully it won't take too long.

Rick McPherson
It looks great. Decals are ordered. Would look real nice as a 417 " Jokers are wild " bird.
falcon20driver
It looks great even without the decals.
phantom
Thanks, heard from the decal guy. They are on his list, but way DOWN the list. Hopefully some time in March they might show up.

Rick McPherson
Looks great. Love those colours. I have a Cold Lake Rescue "Jokers are Wild" patch for it. Nice work on the numbers.

Winnie
I'm curious how you mount the blades. That is what holds me back from building mine.
phantom
I thin the blades where they insert into the rotor head. Then I cut a slit into the rotor head. Super glue them together.
