Finn
Here is an early CF-101 later in it's life: note it has the scoop under the forward fuselage, a pair of ATR-2N inert rockets out in the open and also note the flap positioning. Jari

The above pic was taken at the Abbotsford Airshow which the display of the rockets, even inert ones, no doubt upset those who were anti-military. Actually in the early days, before they added some weights into the nose wheel bay, the Voodoo did carry at least one inert Genie as ballast to keep the a/c balanced. Jari i haven't often see photos of "loaded" Voodoo! and it look awesome! (and without any gas bag hanging! even nicer! ...this will certainly inspire one of my future build!) thank you Jari, for all those great finds you share with us! much appreciated! Dutch
Finn, Nice photo there! Interesting about the requirement to hang at least one for balancing. R/ Dutch
Scooby
The picture brings back memories of the Cold War and wearing those poopie suits for up to three days.
Finn
Once a year we flew with external tanks for a week or so, usually two tanks but they found only one, on the right side, was actually more fuel efficient. Jari
