Rex
hmm, something is a bit mixed up there. The famous Showtime 100 was the CAG aircraft during America's 1970 tour in Vietnam, then that aircraft was again the CAG when it was shot down in 1972 during the Constellation cruise. 155580 is the BuNo of the replacement CAG from the shoot down on up until later,,,,,,,I don't remember how long, though. But, that combo of America, 155580 as the CAG, and 1972 just didn't happen Edit, oh those markings are correct,,,155800 on the America,,,it just happened in 1970, not 1972,,,,,,,,I don't know if VF-96 did it on purpose or not,,,,,,,but, you have to look really close to see 155800 and 155580 in order to tell them apart Edited January 23, 2017 by Rex
F4DPhantomII
Thanks. It had me confused at being listed on America the same time 1972 as when Cunningham/Driscoll shot down 3 jets in May of 1972.
