Ryan Hothersall
Recently finished 1:48 scale Italeri IAI Dagger in Argentinian markings. Not the usual thing I build. This came about because in the model club i'm a member of, at the December meeting, members donate a kit they have lying around that is surplus to requirements. Everyone brings their wrapped up kit to the meeting and everyone picks a number out of a hat and that's your 'present'. The idea is to build it during the long, hot Australian summer, when you are indoors with the aircon on full blast. Then we all bring our built models to the February meeting (there is no meeting in January) and show them off. Quite a nice build I thought, as it's an earlier generation kit without all the modern day resin and etched parts found in modern large scale kits. Colours used, underside Model Master 1733 grey, topside colours, Model Master 1792 Tan, Model Master 1793 green and Model Master 1764 green. Build progress photos. latormentabritanica
Cool! I've read a lot about the Falklands/Malvinas War and have built a couple of Argentine birds. I have an old iteration of this kit and markings for the Argentine Air Force, so it's cool to see someone else post something like this.
