F-100D Super Sabre "Darlene´s Dear"

Hello friends

This is my last completed model.
A F-100D Monogram 1/48

I made some modifications to this venerable Monogram kit.
The cannons and pitot tube are made with hypodermic needles.
The Hud was made with acetate and improved the ejection seat with some scratch.
Fuel tanks were lengthened to make the correct 335 gallons.

The Bullpups Missiles are replaced for a Monogram A-37 Napalm canisters. Looks better to mee!! ;)
Also the depth rudders were cut to place them in a more relaxed position.
The lights on the wings, the spine and the refueling probe were made with clear plastic, more realistic than paint the original plastic.
Use acrylic paints and enamels from Testors Model Masters.
The decals are from Caracals, very good indeed.

A Happy Hun! Very superior work there, good catch on the IFR probe light as well -often gets missed!

(Still grinding away at mine...it will get here one day!)

Fefster,

Nice job on the Hun👍

I have to agree that the Napalm tanks make for a better presentation of the kit.😎

The old Monogram kit is still the most accurate in 1/48📐📏

Cheers,

Mr. Happy (In name only)
