mrvark
I'm working on the OLD Revell 1:28 Fokker DR.1, which has no painting instructions whatsoever. It comes with a pilot and two ground crew figures. I found a pic online that shows the ground crew with green uniforms, but am wondering about the pilot figure. While he is wearing a leather flying helmet, he is dressed in what appears to me to be a jacket and trousers (not the flying gear to keep one from freezing at altitude). Is there a school approved color for this uniform? Thanks!
Hal Marshman Sr
For a regular uniform, there was no "Air Force" official uniform. They wore the uniform of the unit they came from, Cavalry, Infantry, etc. The WW-I Feldgrau was a somewhat more Gray than the WW-ii color, just barely tinted with green.
