oggy
Are there different 'grades' of cartograf decals. I building a 1/12 hasegawa motorcycle, the decals say printed by cartograf, but I am having difficulties getting them to conform to the surface - edges don't want to wrap around the edges. I have built a handful of Tamiya motorcycle kits and never had any issues. Using Microset and sol. Any ideas.
82Whitey51
Depending on how many layers of color, Cartograf decals can definitely get thick. Try a little bit of Solvaset on the curves.

Cartograf usually prints beautiful, resilient decals that conform very well to curves. However, they tend to become fairly thick if a particular element uses more than 3-4 layers of different colors. Careful design can reduce this problem to an extent, but sometimes there is only so much even a very experienced designer can do. Generous application of a strong decal setting solution usually solves the issue.
oggy
Thanks, After applying many coats of microsol over 4 hours, finally got the decal to curve around the edge.
