efd327
I have a Collect Aire 1/48 f-86H Sabre that was damaged in a move. I am wanting to repaint it in the SE Asia scheme that the Air National Guard used late in the F-86 operational life but I have been unable to find drawings for it after numerous searches. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Slartibartfast
Air Force Legends #212 North American F-86H Sabre "Hog" has 15 B&W photos of the SEA scheme showing each side, one of which is duplicated on the back cover in color, port side only. No drawings. Surely someone can cough up the Tech Order that covers the Sabre paint scheme.
Ben Brown
Check the 1978 T.O.1-1-4 from the IPMS UK USAF SIG (LINK). It should have the drawings for the F-86H. If possible, compare them to photos of your subject, since there was probably some variation between the drawing and how the bored paint shop Airman actually painted the airplane. Slartibartfast
In the book I cited, it's obvious that while they were painted to the same T.O., none were exactly the same.
