Greenghost
Hi, i have the following B-57 modification set. It says is intended for the Italeri or Airfix B-57. The only B-57 from Airfix or Italeri that I have found ar B or G versions so cockpit and canopy are different. Do you know how is this supposed to be used or am I missing one additional set? Thank you
Pete
Airfix had a fishbowl canopy Canberra kit from the 70's too. I suppose this set is meant for that kit. Not sure why they also included Italeri.
Wild Weasel V
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, as the label on the packet says, this set is actually for a RAF Canberra T17 not a USAF B-57; quite a different aircraft. I think it's intended to be used in addition to their set SC72-052 which converts either the Italeri or Airfix B-57 kit into a Canberra B2 by replacing the nose and intakes. To use what you have you'll need to either source the conversion, get the original Airfix Canberra B(I)6 (which was irrevocably retooled into a B-57B in the 1980s) or find an example of the Highplanes Canberra , none of which will be easy (or cheap). It most definitely can't be used on its own with a B-57 kit. HTH, Jonathan
