John Thompson
On the underside of P-51 Mustangs, there are three identification lights. These are under the starboard wing tip on the P-51 A, B, and D, and under the radiator housing on the P-51 and A-36. I believe the Corsair had the same lights; possibly other aircraft, too. From front to back, what colors were these lights? Thank you in advance! John
silverkite211
From front to back they are red amber green.
Grey Ghost 531
Nope, red, green, amber. http://walkarounds.scalemodels.ru/v/walkarounds/avia/before_1950/p-51d/p-51d_0150.jpg.html
Slartibartfast
I seem to recall they could be physically switched around. Some of my sources indicate red, amber, green but a couple of period color photos show red, green, amber. If you're showing this kit you'd better find a photo. Otherwise, your choice. The photos I've seen of the lights show the red, green, amber order. The actual cockpit switch boxes also suggest that order.
