agelos2005
Hi there guys I was wondering where can I find a 1/48 TER pylon for the phantom centreline any ideas?
Niels
Are you looking for the pylon or the TER? TER = Triple Ejector Rack, attaches to the pylon for carriage of up to 3x boms up to 750lbs each. Usually the Phantom carried MER on the centerline as the centerline allowed heavier loads to be carried. Could this be what you are after? MER = Multiple Ejector Rack, for carriage of up to 6x bombs up to 750lbs each Essentially you find the MER and TER in Hasegawa's weapons set A and Academy's F-4B/C/D kits, while Trumpeters F-100 kits have TER's. I think Quickboost also does both? Pylon usually comes with the kit, atleast Hasegawa's F-4 kits....
agelos2005
I am looking for the pylon for the centreline is the same as for the tank?
Ben Brown
The centerline tank had its own mounting pylon, built into the tank, unless it was one or the USAF's later F-15-style tanks, which also had its own unique mounting system. Are you wanting to mount a tank or weapons on the centerline? Ben
agelos2005
I want to mount weapons on the centreline specifically a TER
Bobo1953
hi agelos. you can easily find two ter in the hasegawa 1/48 u.s aircraft weapons B set. pylons are not provided; moreover you must buy altogether a lot of missile, bomb and ecm stuff. but it's good stuff hasegawa sells the whole set for about u.s. $ 19.99 + shipping. here's thelink: http://www.hasegawausa.com/product-pages/hsgs6002.html hope this can help. best cheers, bobo. Niels
The centerline pylon is Part E3 in Hasegawa's F-4E kit (this sprue is the same for all of Hawegawa's kits) http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10011285/70/3 - see top right corner of sprue E.
Niels
Bottom right corner here shows the TER and the MER. The MER is the long white, while the TER is the short. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10000499/20/1 I haven't seen the F-4 with TER on centerline - usually they carried MER due to load carrying capability. Finn
I think this is what you are after: http://i71.photobucket.com/albums/i145/Speedy01_photos/CLWeaponsAdapterSmall.jpg~original http://www.gstatic.com/hostedimg/9cf2fa978c408cb0_large you could fit most stores on it like MERs, TERS, large bombs and gun pods. Jari There is a SUU-23 gun pod set from Wolfpack Design which includes two gun pods and two centerline pylons. There also is/was a similar gun pod set with a centerline pylon from True Details. True Details also released two set with F-4 pylons - one set with "Navy F-4" pylons, the other one with "Air Force F-4" pylons. Booth sets includes the centerline pylon. To my eyes the Hasegawa part looks very "basic" and incorrect?! Best regards, Jens
