usmcski6502
I'm in! Been looking for a reason to start one of my Fujimi AH-1Js (I have 12 of them!), and this might just be the motivation I need. I'll be (hopefully) doing a MARHUK (MARine HUnter/Killer) J from HMA-369, circa 1972. While not 100% decided on paint scheme, it will definitely have the "toned down" stars and bars, but unknown yet if all the other markings will be black, white or a combination (depends on BuNo and timeframe). Happy Building! Semper Fi, Ski

Ichitoe
NICE! Always fancied the OD/green Cobras! I'm curious about these kits, so I'l be watching how it builds. Look forward to your build Ski! Mike
usmcski6502
SO, I've switched horses. My original intention of building the AH-1J has branched off into building an AH-1G (Marine) first. I'm hoping to still get a J done as planned in time to meet the timeline, but the G has taken precedence.

usmcski6502
The turret for the M197 had to be modified to accept the 7.62mm minigun and 40mm grenade launcher:

usmcski6502
I used the old Fujimi AH-1S for the G parts. Intake screens had to be scratched and aft cockpit modified to accept the rounded J canopy that was also on the G, vice the flat plate canopy of the S: Edited March 31, 2017 by usmcski6502
