a models parade...on link!

Recommended Posts

hi guys.

i don't understand yet how you can post so many pics staying within the 0,1 mb limits of ARC...any hints?

anyway, as a newby, after seeing some works by pete "the flying dutchman" and others, and as he and some other people were so nice to invite me to post some of my models, i humbly dare doing that, but through links as per my aforesaid ignorance.

i will give a few notes on each.

-f-84f sabre. this is one of my ongoig "cold war fever" productions. i have done away with the nice nose art to place a "u.s. air force" which in my intentions is more sober and gives a more really business-meaning look. after this was the nuke carrying tunderstreak and next will be an f-84d sabre dog: https://goo.gl/photos/BqM2U2Ug8oN8CzZKA

-b-47 stratojet. still in my cold war repertoire. i have room problems, and also, i find it a nice challenge to build in such a small scale: https://goo.gl/photos/9f21WeEXSnbj8BUZA

-b-58 hustler. the same as above. from 2009. i didn't fix the drop tank/warhead as i liked very much the streamlined lines of this small quadrijet that seems to be about to take off in the air at any moment. please note also that the bombardier and nav canopies are misplaced as i didn't cement them not to seal off the nice cockpits...too small to get pics of them...: https://goo.gl/photos/hVxepZcwoNPT5opS6

-ad-1 skyraider. it took me more time to assembtle all that payload of resin & p.e. bombs than to build the whole aircraft. drove me crazy, but i liked to represent the incredible weight of weaponry the able dog could carry: https://goo.gl/photos/MjGcXJXCRLrKeTcZ8

-a-6 intruder...a jewel. guess what's the scale?...: https://goo.gl/photos/thHaUScpURFdQcyQ6

-gloster gladiator. ahhh well, back to bigger scale and to ww ii. i don't want to describe the story of this build which was one of the worst kits i ever had been challenged by. it's a nasty, imprecise, unfitting old roden kit repackaged by eduard. i'll just tell you that eduard sent me a complimentary kit in order to apologize after my letter of complaint. nevetheless now that's finished, i love it quite a lot: https://goo.gl/photos/FUGTAVwvcwJsDijz7

-f4u-1 corsair. tamiya... ahhh... there you can almost relax and watch in wonder their incredibly great engineering and detail...i know, i made the separation lines between the colors too sharp, but i admit that even if i tried to learn how to fade the colors together, i wasn't satisfied with my outcomes, so i decided to "stay sharp": https://goo.gl/photos/i3x5fY8bzeo9yYx96

well, i hope that i didn't bore you with my show-offs. if you want more, instead, i model since the age of six, so there's plenty to go...:thatfunny:

thank you very much for your attention.

happy modeling to everybody and ciao. bobo.

hello pete.

thank you for your congrats.

i posted the two boomers as it seemed to me in line with the 'streak and the sabre atmosphere.

i also believe that they are, within the limits of the scale...but also a bit beyond that, quite nice. on the other hand academy did a relly good job,...and i followed suite...;-)

so you love the weapons-burdened aircrafts? have a look at this : oh, hotel sierra!!! i have the pics of the unloaded model...probably loading it took so much time that after finishing i forgot to take pics! i will do it expressely for you. just allow me some time...surprise... :-)

anyway, i too do love that ad-1.

and you're on a gannet. a strange subject...does it come from your britmodeler acquaintance?

how can you work on two projects at the same time? i am used to concentrate on my subject, on-line research, pictures etc. and on transeferring that on the model so that i couldn't do it with two in parallel.

also the 101 is very good, and i congratulate for the job on the falcons...wonder where you did create those fins from...

you were right about the comments on ARC. yours is until now the only one. do you think that it would be politely correct if i post it again in the "jets" forum? but there are also the "props"...

have a nice time, and talk again soon. i owe you those pics...

ciao. bobo.
